Wednesday (01/02/2023) a working discussion was held between Commission IV DPRD Musi Rawas and BPS Kab. Musi Rawas. Commission IV for Development DPRD Mura has eight working partners including PUBM, PUCK TRP, Perkim Office, Bappeda, Research and Development, National Education Department, Development Administration Section and Procurement Services Unit (ULP) of goods and services.


Members of the Commission IV delegation of the DPRD Musi Rawas Regency who attended this conference included Yudi Fratama, SH (Chairman of the Commission), Benny Chandra, SE, MM., (Secretary of the Commission), Doni Iskandar, Renny Widiastuti, S.E, while other members of Commission IV unable to attend. The discussion was opened with remarks by the Head of BPS Kab. Musi Rawas, Mr. Dedi Fahlevi, M.Sc.


The discussion continued with remarks from the Chairman of Commission IV DPRD Musi Rawas Mr. Yudi Fratama, SH. In his remarks, he explained that the purpose of his work visit to BPS was to carry out data-based work. With the aim of realizing community welfare in Musi Rawas.


Mr. Dedi Fahlevi, M.Sc., gave a brief description of the strategic indicators obtained by Kab. Musi Rawas. The discussion continued with questions and answers regarding the indicator data presented. Mr. Yudi Fratama questioned the data on elementary and junior high school dropouts. This was in response to the viral media coverage about an elementary school whose students did not have desk and chair facilities. Moreover, Mr. Yudi also asked for data on the level of community satisfaction with the development results that had been carried out by the Mura Regency Government. Answering this question, Head of BPS Musi Rawas, Dedi Fahlevi, said that his agency only provided basic data. Such as poverty data, HDI data, economic growth and employment data. Meanwhile, sectoral data returns to the respective OPDs. The capacity of BPS as data supervisor for sectoral or OPD.


The discussion was quite warm and long. In the end, the discussion was closed with a request by Commission IV DPRD Musi Rawas to BPS to be even more progressive in presenting data that is updated and easily accessible to the public. This request was responded to by Dedi Fahlevi who revealed that BPS Mura will continue to collaborate with the Mura Regency Government through OPD Kominfo and Statistics.
