Abstract
The total workforce in August 2022 was 213,464 people, a decrease of 1,225
people compared to August 2021. In line with the decrease in the total
workforce, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) also decreased by 1.47
percentage points.
The working population is 209,373 thousand people, an increase of 652
people from August 2021. Jobs that absorb the most workers in 2022 are
agriculture, forestry and fisheries, namely 66.30 percent. As many as 66.72
percent work in informal activities, an increase of 3.29 percentage points
compared to August 2021.
The percentage of underemployed and part-time workers decreased by 4.94 and
8.30 percentage points respectively compared to August 2021.
The August 2022 Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 1.92 percent, down by 0.86
percentage points compared to August 2021
