Abstract

  • In August 2022, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Selatan through the entrance to Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin Airport (SMB) II Palembang was recorded at only 4 visits.

  • The room occupancy rate (TPK) for star hotels in August 2022 was 50.86 percent, a decrease of 4.29 points compared to the previous month's TPK which was recorded at 55.15 percent. Meanwhile, the TPK for non-star hotels for August 2022 was recorded at 20.87 percent.

  • The highest ROR for star hotels in August 2022 occurred in 3-star hotels, which was 57.39 percent and the lowest was in 2-star hotels, which was 40.25 percent.

  • The average length of stay of guests at star hotels in August 2022 reached 1.56 days, a decrease of 0.10 points compared to July 2022 which was recorded at 1.66 days.

  • The average length of stay of foreign guests at star hotels in August 2022 is higher than the average length of stay of Indonesian guests.
