The Trade Balance Has a Surplus of US $ 193.26 million in June 2020

The value of South Sumatra's exports in June 2020 increased by 2.03 percent compared to exports in May 2020. However, when compared with the same period in 2019 (January-June 2019) South Sumatra Province's exports experienced a decrease of 15.70 percent.

The export value of the South Sumatra Province in June 2020 of US $ 245.72 million consisted of oil and gas exports of US $ 7.92 million and US $ 237.80 million which was the result of non-oil and gas commodity exports.

China, the United States and Malaysia became the main export destination countries of South Sumatra in the period January - June 2020, each with US $ 547.83 million, US $ 161.15 million and US $ 150.50 million, with the roles of the three reaching 51.12 percent of total exports for the period January - June 2020.

The value of South Sumatra imports in June 2020 was US $ 52.46 million, down 9.48 percent when compared to imports in May 2020.

Imports of South Sumatra Province in June 2020 amounting to US $ 52.46 million consisting of oil and gas imports amounting to US $ 1.91 million and non-oil and gas totaling US $ 50.55 million.

The biggest countries of origin for the period January - June 2020 were China with an import value of US $ 191.82 million, followed by Malaysia with an import value of US $ 28.24 million and Vietnam with an import value reaching US $ 11.42 million.
