Abstract

  • The value of South Sumatra's exports in September 2013 reached US $ 309.58 million or an increase of 11.64 percent compared to exports in August 2013. While compared to September 2012 it decreased by 9.98 percent.
  • The export value of South Sumatra Province in September 2013 was US $ 309.58 million consisting of oil and gas exports amounting to US $ 53.11 million and US $ 256.47 million from non-oil and gas commodity exports.
  • The United States, Malaysia and China are still the main destination countries for South Sumatra's exports, during January - September 2013 reaching US $ 619.48 million, US $ 565.24 million and US $ 441.60 million respectively, with the roles of the three reaching 54.64 percent of total exports in September 2013.
  • Exports to the European Union in January - September 2013 reached US $ 362.10 million (12.16 percent of total exports) and exports to ASEAN reached US $ 656.02 million (22.04 percent of total exports).
  • According to the Sector, exports of industrial products in the period January - September 2013 fell 13.73 percent compared to the same period in 2012, likewise exports of mining products fell 27.33 percent while agricultural output rose 14.68 percent
