On 15 June - 17 July 2020, Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) 2020 was conducted in all regions of Indonesia, including in Kab. Musi Rawas and Musi Rawas Utara. Landing Podes 2020 aims to:

1. Provide basic data for calculating the Geographical Difficulty Index (IKG) which will be used as one of the variables in the allocation of Village Funds (DD);

2. Providing data for various purposes related to regional planning;

3. Providing data on the existence and development potential of the village which includes basic services, infrastructure conditions, and accessibility or transportation;

4. Providing supporting data for the preparation of Regions in Figures (DDA);

5. Providing data for the purpose of calculating village status

Initially the data collection was conducted every 3 years prior to the implementation of the Census. But starting in 2018, Podes Data Collection is held every year. This is done in an effort to provide data needed by the relevant ministries such as Bappenas, Ministry of Villages, Ministry of Finance, etc.

The Village Potential Data Collection which is carried out every year is expected to be able to capture the overall development in the village.
